KASFAA Members - Now is the time to nominate your colleagues for KASFAA office! This year, the
Nominations Form will be on-line
here at the KASFAA website. You now have the opportunity to enter your nominations for the open positions
listed below. An e-mail will immediately be sent to the Past President and Chair of Nominations.
This process will ensure no forms are lost or misplaced. KASFAA members will remain anonymous in the nominations
process, as all e-mails sent to the Chair of Nominations do not display the e-mail address of the sender.
Keep in mind that running for office is a big, but worthwhile commitment.
Be sure to ask KASFAA members if they are interested in running before submitting
their names.

Officer Descriptions
President-Elect
The President-Elect position is a three-year
commitment. In the first year of office, the President-Elect assists the President, secures contracts for
location of upcoming conferences, and prepares for the term of office. In the second year of office, the
President-Elect becomes the President, and presides at all meetings for the Association. The President selects
all committee chairs, and represents Kentucky on the SASFAA Board. In the third year of office, the President
becomes the Past President, and chairs the Nominations Committee to ensure future leadership.
Vice President
The Vice President is elected for a one-year term and takes a leadership role in the professional development and
leadership activities of the Association. All training activities (NASFAA training, Support Staff training, High
School Counselor training) are coordinated by the Vice President.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is elected to serve for a two-year term and oversees and manages the Association's financial matters;
the treasurer receives and disburses moneys of the Association; maintains records of receipts and expenditures; pays
bills for the Association; receives meeting registration and membership dues; submits financial reports to the
Executive Board and prepares annual year end financial statements.
Two-Year Public Schools Representative
The Two-Year Public School Representative is elected to serve for a three year term and serves as a liaison between
the two-year public school membership and the KASFAA Executive Board. Primary duties of the Two-Year Public School
Representative are to inform all members of KASFAA Board actions; bring concerns of the two-year public school
membership to the KASFAA Board for consideration; gather input from two-year public school members and encourage
KASFAA attendance and participation in the two-year public sector meetings.
Proprietary Schools Representative
The Proprietary School Representative is elected to serve for a three-year term and serves as a liaison between the
proprietary school membership and the KASFAA Executive Board. Primary duties of the Proprietary School Representative
are to inform all members of KASFAA Board actions; bring concerns of the proprietary school membership to the KASFAA
Board for consideration; gather input from proprietary school members and encourage KASFAA attendance and
participation in the proprietary school sector meetings.
