The KOC (KASFAA Olympic Committee) invites you to attend the 2009 Spring Conference, “KASFAA-Go for the Gold.” The conference will be held on April 15-17, 2009 at the Holiday Inn Cincinnati Airport, in Erlanger. The KOC (also known as the Program Committee) is working hard to provide you with an informative and entertaining conference that will appeal to all KASFAA members. KASFAA will also be sponsoring a charity in a continued effort to spread goodwill in the community that hosts us. More details will be coming soon.
In addition to four sets of informative concurrent sessions, the conference will offer general sessions that will benefit the entire KASFAA membership. Jamie Malone from the U.S. Department of Education will provide our Federal Update. Concurrent session topics will include FERPA, Leadership in the Financial Aid Office: Reality TV Style and PJ-Recalculation of EFC just to mention a few. New KASFAA members are encouraged to join the Executive Board for lunch at noon on Wednesday, April 15. Prior to the luncheon, the New Member Workshop will take place, providing an opportunity to meet and mingle with colleagues. More information regarding this event will be forthcoming from Robin Buchholz, so watch your email for details.
Networking and fellowship is an important part of any conference, so Wednesday night will be an evening for all to gather for the President’s Dinner and “Olympic” games. Masters of Music will provide our entertainment and music, so come ready for a fun and relaxing evening.
Conference registration is open now! The hotel group rate is only $99 per night plus tax. Be sure to mention our group name, KASFAA, to get the discounted room rate.
