Hello KASFAA Members!
Come one, come all!! It's time for the Spring 2008 Conference! The Program Committee would like to invite you to attend our Spring Conference, "KASFAA - The Greatest Show on Earth". The show will be held April 16-18, 2008, in Owensboro, at The Executive Inn Rivermont.
We will start the show with a Federal Training session on Wednesday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The session will cover the "College Cost Reduction and Access Act", there will be a separate registration required. The registration will be available on the FSA website and will be limited to 250 registrants. Your presenter or ringmaster for this show will be none other than Greg Martin from the U.S. Department of Education. Greg will also be leading us on the Federal Update on Friday and possibly a few other useful sessions.
The Program Committee has worked very hard on this show and promises that it will have something for everyone. Topics include; "Financial Aid A to Z", "Document Retention", and a Proprietary School Session on clock hours. Explore the tentative agenda for more info. Special guests will include Greg Martin, Department of Education, Michael Bennett, NASFAA Chair, Lisanne Masterson, SASFAA President, and Tony Carter, North Carolina Association of Student Financial Administrators, NCASFAA, President.
New KASFAA Members are invited to join the Executive Board for lunch at noon on Wednesday, April 16. Prior to the luncheon there will be a new member event offering an opportunity to meet and mingle with colleagues. More information regarding this event will be forth coming from Theresa Hulsey. You are invited to go under the big top and do some clowning around at the President’s Reception on Wednesday evening. Dress for the entire conference will be casual or your best circus attire. We are going to have a cornhole tournament; sign up sheets will be forth coming. There will also be music and dancing. Friday will be "Spirit Day". Show your school or company spirit by wearing an article of clothing with your school or company logo.

Be sure to mention our group name KASFAA to get the discounted room rate.
