I am honored to be nominated for this position. I have enjoyed my 7+ years as a KASFAA member and have learned a great deal
along the way not just about financial aid, but also about the KASFAA membership and its needs. I look forward to the
possibility of serving the organization as an elected officer. Many of our members are in the position of needing additional
training for new programs and new regulations at a time when our organizations have fewer resources to pay for training and
travel expenses. As co-chair of the Fall 2009 conference committee, I worked with the program committee to devise a very
strong set of sessions to deliver the best value for conference attendees, and I believe we achieved that goal. If elected as
Vice President, I will continue to work to provide the KASFAA membership additional training opportunities that are
high-quality, low-cost, and convenient for members to attend.
